Dear Friend,
Thank you for allowing me to come alongside you each day as you pause to learn truth from God’s Word. It’s my practice to journal my thoughts from what I have read. This devotional book is written from my own gleanings as I daily studied God’s Word and He spoke to my heart.
Each day’s devotion is written from my heart. If I wrote a dictionary I would define each word with an illustration; thus, I have used illustrations that came to mind as I read and studied a passage of Scripture. As you read illustrations that I have shared with you, think of your own life and how God is working in and through you. Confess what God speaks to you about and accept the challenge to do your part. Oswald Chambers said it best, “We are in danger of forgetting that we cannot do what God does, and that God will not do what we can do.”
After every 7 days of devotionals, there is a section in this book called My Personal Pause. It will be helpful if you will write down your personal thoughts from what you read in God’s Word. Ask yourself, “How does this verse apply to my life?” Be open and honest with yourself and with God.
My prayer is that you “grow forward” in your Christian life as you study God’s Word and apply it to your daily life!
